Republic of Uzbekistan is a doubly landlocked country located in Central Asia. It is surrounded by five landlocked countries. It is part of the Turkic world, as well as a member of the Organization of Turkic States. The Uzbek language is the majority -spoken language in It. Islam is the predominant religion in Uzbekistan, most Uzbeks being Sunni Muslims. The first recorded settlers in what is now Uzbekistan were Eastern Iranian nomads, known as Scythians, who founded kingdoms in Khwarazm
Economy:
Since independence, It continues to exist as a Soviet-style command economy, with a slow transformation to a market economy. The progress of governmental economic policy reforms has been cautious, but cumulatively Uzbekistan has shown respectable  achievements. Its restrictive trade regime and generally interventionist policies continue to have a negative effect on it. Substantial structural reform is needed, particularly in these areas: improving the investment climate for foreign investors
